At the Vitality Stadium (Bournemouth, Dorset), Nigeria international Peter Odemwingie was an unused substitute as Stoke City won for the tenth time this season, beating Bournemouth 3-1.
Over to Selhurst Park, Odion Ighalo assisted Watford defeat Crystal Palace 2-1. Togo international of Nigerian descent, Emmanuel Adebayor equalized for the homers in the 45th minute with a stunning header.
Both Ighalo and Adebayor worked a 90-minute shift in attack for their respective teams while Scotland international Ikechi Anya remained on the bench for the Hornets.

In the evening kickoff, Super Eagles star John Mikel Obi starts on the bench for Chelsea’s tie with Newcastle United.
