Kelechi Iheanacho On Target As Man City Suffer Heartbreak On Valentine\'s Day
Published: February 14, 2016
Kelechi Iheanacho’s intervention was not enough for Manchester City to take any point from their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening at the Etihad.
The Citizens suffered a huge setback in their bid to win the title, losing 2-1 to Spurs with Christian Eriksen netting a late winner for the Londoners.
With Manchester City trailing the opponents 1-0, Kelechi Iheanacho replaced Fernando in the 66th minute and it didn’t take the Nigerian long before he restored parity.
On 74 minutes, a pass from Gael Clichy found the ex-Golden Eaglets star who blasted the ball into the net.
In terms of goalscoring, Iheanacho has been enjoying a renaissance, weighing in with 5 goals since the start of 2016.
