Ikechukwu Uche Delighted To Debut For Malaga
Published: February 15, 2016
Ikechukwu Uche has expressed his happiness at making his debut for Malaga in their 1-0 loss to Villarreal on Saturday in La Liga.
The Super Eagles star played his first game in a Malaga shirt when he stepped out onto the Camp El Madrigal pitch in the 84th minute and was disappointed that his club failed to pick up a share of the spoils at the end of the match.
“I’m happy with my debut and returning to what was my home for three years. Now we’re heading back to Málaga to continue working, in order to achieve the results that we want,” Uche was quoted as saying by Malaga’ official website.
“We couldn’t achieve what we wanted but we were up against a big team who are where they are for a reason.
“Our team worked well and tried hard but it wasn’t to be. We need to try and improve our positive aspects before the next match.”
Ikechukwu Uche and his teammates will return to action on Sunday, February 21 when they tackle Real Madrid at Estadio La Rosaleda.
