Tottenham Hotspur Manager Not Convinced Dele Alli Is A Finished Product
Published: February 19, 2016
Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has admitted that his Anglo-Nigerian midfielder Dele Alli is not a finished product yet.
The England international was lucky not to take the walk of shame in Spurs’ 1-1 draw with Fiorentina in the Europa League on Thursday night after kicking Nenad Tomovic but was only shown a yellow card in the 30th minute.
“We need to look at the video and try to teach him. He is a young player and he has a lot to learn about elite football,” said Pochettino to BT Sport.
“It is his first season in the Premier League at Tottenham.
“He came from League One, he needs to learn a lot, still learn. But I didn’t see (the incident). Some people say yes, say no, so I don’t know.”
This season, the 19-year-old has been involved in 7 games in the Europa League, raking up 472 minutes of playing time in the process.
