Anthony Ujah Admits Werder Bremen Fans Are Unhappy With Recent Performances
Published: February 21, 2016
Anthony Ujah has admitted that Werder Bremen were far from their best in their 2-0 loss to Ingolstadt at Audi Sportpark on Saturday afternoon in a Bundesliga clash.
The Nigeria international, Werder’s top scorer in all competitions this season, had two opportunities to score either side of half-time but could not find the net.
“We tried to come back the whole game and to make a compensation but it was very difficult . That was not a good game by us,”Ujah said to werder.de.
The defeat at Audi Sportpark leaves Werder Bremen in the relegation zone ahead of next weekend’s home game against Darmstadt 98.
“Every game is a final for us . Our fans are not happy , we are not . The team knows that the fans are behind us in every game,” he added.
Ujah is the eleventh position in the race for the top scorer award in the Bundesliga, with 8 goals to his name from 22 games.
