Chisom Chikatara Dismisses Rumours Linking Him With Move To Esperance

Chisom Chikatara has quickly dismissed rumours linking him with a transfer to Esperance in the summer transfer market and has pledged his immediate future to Abia Warriors.
However, one of the worst kept secrets when the window opens in the coming months is that the Super Eagles striker might be heading to Wydad Casablanca, with Abia Warriors chiefs traveling to the Moroccan capital last month to finalize a deal for their poster boy.
Well informed sources have told allnigeriasoccer.com that Esperance had been in the race for Chikatara but were outbid by Wydad Casablanca.
“I did not speak to anybody I want to sign for Esperance instead of Wydad Casablanca, I am still a player of Abia Warriors,” said Chikatara to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Indeed, for the time being, the 21-year-old remains a player of Abia Warriors and has targeted at least 20 goals in the new season, and has achieved five percent of his target after two rounds after opening his account against El Kanemi on Wednesday.
