Published: February 27, 2016
CS Sfaxien star Junior Ajayi has revealed that he only learnt about his call-up for the upcoming international friendly against Brazil from the electronic media and has not been sent an invitation letter by the Nigerian Federation.
Thus, the former Shooting Stars frontman has not started making traveling arrangements because he is unsure whether or not his Tunisian club will authorize his trip to South America without an official communication from the NFF.
Looking at the bright side of things, Junior Ajayi has hailed the NFF for organizing the tuneup match with Brazil, adding that it will serve as a good preparation for the national team ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games.
“I don’t think that they have sent an invitation letter because I have not heard anything from CS Sfaxien, ” said Junior Ajayi to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“The friendly against Brazil is a good preparation for the team.”
A certain Oghenekaro Etebo took the shine off Junior Ajayi at the Africa U23 Cup of Nations but the fact is the CS Sfaxien golden boy is the most potent player in the Dream Team VI setup, having netted 11 times in competitive matches.
