Anthony Ujah Issues Battle Cry To Werder Bremen Teammates To Pick Up Points
Published: February 29, 2016
Anthony Ujah has admitted that Werder Bremen’s 2-2 draw with Darmstadt this past weekend did not help their fight against relegation and reckons that the team must not drop points in future matches in their battle to stay afloat.
Eleven matches before the end of this season, Werder are three points from safety having garnered 21 points and have a tricky fixture against Bayer Leverkusen in two days time.
“Relegation battles are always tough. The character of the team and of each individual plays a big role in these situations,”Ujah told werder.de.
“It’s important that we stick together as a team and not lose our spirit.
“We won’t travel to Leverkusen to somehow sneak away with a draw. We have to collect points in every game from now on.”
Anthony Ujah netted for the ninth time in the Bundesliga this season against Darmstadt.
