Kogi United Coach Ishaya Jatau Loses Mum

It was a shocking news to the players and officials of Kogi United on Monday on hearing the death of mother of their Head Coach, Ishaya Jatau.
Coach Jatau’s mum, Hauta Jatau died on Monday in Kaduna State after a brief illness.
Aged 74, Mrs Jatau was a well known business woman in Kaduna with much passion for sports which prompted her support for a blossom career of her son, Ishaya.
The former Inwanyanwu Nationale striker, Ishaya Jatau is the first of six children of Mrs Jatau with only a woman among them.
Describing the death of his mum as unfortunate, Ishaya Jatau said he’s still in shock with news of his mum’s demise just as he admitted that she will be greatly missed by him and others related to the mother.
“I’m dumbfounded on her death, I spoke with her few days ago, I was with her when we were in Kaduna for pre-season camping and she was getting better from her sickness.
“I don’t know how to take it because I will miss her so much. She was my greatest fan, she supported me in my career till now, I’m sure many people will miss her because of her generosity, love and kindness, ” Jatau said.
Burial arrangements of late Hauta Jatau will be announced in due cause according to Kogi United gaffer.
Meanwhile, the management, players and officials of Kogi United have sent condolences to their Head Coach, Ishaya Jatau over the death of his mum, Mrs Hauta Jatau who died on Monday after a brief illness.
In a condolence message signed by the Team Manager of the Confluence State team, Ameh Henry, the club prayed for the soul of Jatau’s mum to rest in peace and wished the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
