Ahmed Musa On Target In Russian Cup As Aaron Samuel Makes Competitive Debut

Ahmed Musa was on target in the Russian Cup on Tuesday as
CSKA Moscow beat FC Ufa 2-0 at the Stadion Neftyanik to advance to the
semifinals of the competition.
Roman Shirokov gave the Muscovites the lead in the 57th minute before the Super Eagles skipper ended Ufa’s hopes of a comeback with the second goal of the game fifteen minutes from time.
Guangzhou R&F loanee Aaron Samuel was one of the three players that debuted for the Red-blues, after he replaced international teammate Ahmed Musa in the 88th minute.
Prior to today’s game against Sylvester Igboun and his teammates, Musa had appeared 12 times in the Russian Cup, scoring five goals.
In the last four of the Cup, CSKA will face the winner of the tie between FC Krasnodar and Terek Grozny.
