Kelechi Iheanacho Challenges Aguero, Toure, 7 Others For Manchester City Goal Of The Month Award
Published: March 10, 2016Kelechi Iheanacho has been nominated for Manchester City’s Nissan Goal of the Month Award for February 2016.
Manchester City have posted on their official website the top ten eye - catching goals scored by their entire teams last month and the third goal shortlisted for the award was netted by the Super Eagles striker.
In the 74th minute of the Premier League contest at the Etihad Stadium on February 14 against Tottenham Hotspur, Iheanacho fired past Hugo Lloris after he was set up by Gael Clichy, as City suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Londoners.
Argentina star Sergio Aguero, Brandon Barker, Lukas Nmecha, Ashley Smith-Brown and David Silva are also in the running for the accolade.
Other nominees include Ivory Coast national-teamer Yaya Toure, Kosovare Asllani , Fernandinho and Manu Garcia.
Supporters of Man City can vote for their favourite goal on Twitter using #CityGoal followed by the letter of their choice.
