Super Eagles Striker Aaron Samuel Makes League Debut For CSKA Moscow
Published: March 12, 2016
Aaron Samuel made his league debut for CSKA Moscow in their 2-0 loss to FK Rostov on Saturday night .
Although the 21-year-old made the bench last weekend for the Moscow derby, the Guangzhou R&F loanee was an unused substitute.
With CSKA Moscow losing 1-0 to Rostov, manager Slutsky introduced Aaron Samuel to add firepower to his team’s attack in the 63rd minute.
And despite the presence of Ahmed Musa, who worked a ninety-minute shift in attack, the two Nigeria internationals could not breach Rostov’s defense.
Next up for Aaron Samuel and the Super Eagles skipper is a game against Kuban Krasnodar on Saturday, March 19, before their trip to Nigeria for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt.
