Arsenal Young Star Iwobi Gutted Not To Make It To Wembley
Published: March 13, 2016
Alex Iwobi was disappointed that Arsenal have been knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup following their 2-1 loss to Watford.
The 19-year-old, who was a second half substitute, was one of the Gunners players that impressed and would have brought his team back to parity in the closing minutes but struck the post.
“Gutted not to make it to Wembley but enjoyed the Cup run nonetheless , onto the next âð½ï¸,” the Arsenal number 45 tweeted on Sunday night.
Iwobi started the third round tie against Sunderland and was also named in the starting XI against Burnley and Hull City in the fourth and fifth round respectively, while he hopped off the bench in the 68th minute in today’s game versus Watford.
He will be hoping to make the trip to Barcelona for the Champions League meeting with the defending champs on Wednesday.
