Published: March 15, 2016
Tottenham Hotspur are closely monitoring the performance of Nigeria U20 international Musa Yahaya at Portuguese setup Portimonense SC, according to the the midfielder’s intermediary Babawo Mohammed.
Spurs failed to secure a work permit for the Flying Eagles dazzler after he attained the age of majority last December and he has been shipped out on loan to continue his development, having penned a pre-contract in 2014.
“Musa Yahaya is a player of Tottenham Hotspur, they want him to play at Portimonense until he gets a work permit,” Babawo Mohammed told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“He has to play in a big league before he can get a permit. They are monitoring his performance and he is doing well.
“He has signed for Spurs and they are still paying him his allowances.”
In the January transfer window, the 18-year-old Musa Yahaya penned a six-month deal with Portimonense SC, who are challenging for promotion to the Primeira Liga.
