Dele Alampasu Out Of Nigeria Friendly Against Brazil Through Surgery
Published: March 16, 2016
CD Feirense netminder Dele Alampasu has been ruled out of Nigeria’s friendly with Brazil U23s next Thursday, announces the Nigeria Football Federation on its official webpage.
The former Golden Eaglets star suffered an acute appendicitis on March 8 and had to be operated upon immediately.
If his rehabilitation goes according to plan, the goalkeeper will be available for selection when CD Feirense tackle Olhanense on April 2 as doctors have predicted he will spend at most three weeks receiving treatment.
The 19-year-old Alampasu will miss games against Santa Clara (March 16) and Freamunde (March 20) in addition to the game he missed last weekend against Benfica II.
The Dream Team VI will travel to Brazil with only two goalkeepers making the roster, Emmanuel Daniel and Yusuf Mohammed.
