Real Salt Lake defensive midfielder Sunday Stephen has been selected among the top 20 players in Major League Soccer for the last round of matches.<br /><br />The MLS, in its weekly Audi Player Index, has identified the former Valencia and CSKA Sofia man as the 15th most influential player in the top-flight and he was awarded a score of 727.<br /><br />Sunny opened his goalscoring account for Real Salt Lake in their 2-1 win against Seattle Sounders at Rio Tinto Stadium on Saturday, restoring parity for his team two minutes before half-time after they went behind in the 28th minute.<br /><br />Other Nigerian MLSers Fanendo Adi(Portland Timbers) and Kennedy Igboananike(Chicago Fire) did not make the top twenty.<br /><br />The Player index is calculated by rating nearly every action on the field by a player.<br /><b><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel<br /><br /></b><span class="body1">Photo Credit : sltrib.com</span>
