Kenneth Omeruo has been ruled out of the African Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Egypt due to injury, the Nigeria Football Federation has announced.<br /><br />The Kasimpasa stopper is down with a groin injury which should keep him on the sidelines for the next two weeks, assuming he does not suffer an injury relapse.<br /><br />&ldquo;Omeruo&rsquo;s injury and subsequent withdrawal from the Egypt games has been communicated to the coaches and the medics,&rdquo; Dayo Enebi, Super Eagles team administrator, told thenff.com.<br /><br />&ldquo;The player is disappointed with his injury setback because he has been looking forward to this game with a lot of optimism. <br /><br />&ldquo;Expectedly, the coaches were also unhappy but they have wished him a quick recovery.&rdquo;<br /><br />This season, Kenneth Omeruo has recorded 18 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig and went the distance against Sivasspor on Monday.<br /><b><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel</b><br /><br /><br />
