Former Golden Eaglets Star Umar Ahmed Turning Heads In Sweden
Published: March 20, 2016
Former Nigeria U17 international Umar Ahmed has started showcasing his skills in Sweden, with a hat-trick for KSF Prespa Birlik in their 5-3 win over Brondby in a pre-season friendly held on Saturday.
With four weeks before the start of the Swedish Division 1 Södra, Ahmed has remained modest and thinks it is best not to put himself under pressure by setting himself a goal target.
“I feel really great scoring a hat-trick, it’s a wonderful feeling to score a hat-trick as we’ve been putting in a lot of work in training,”said Umar Ahmed to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“It was a tough match but I’m happy to have played well and come out with a great result. At the moment I don’t want to bother myself with the amount of goals I should score.
“I want to play good football and help my team win as much games as possible either by scoring or assisting a goal.”
The 19-year-old has now netted four times in pre-season following his hat-trick against the Danish opponents.
