African Nations Championship Star Chikatara, Oboroakpo Dropped For Egypt ClashThe Super Eagles coaching staff led by Samson Siasia has retained six home-based players ahead of the eagerly anticipated African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt next Friday.

Austin Oboroakpo and Chisom Chikatara are no more in contention to fight for shirts ahead of the game against the North Africans as the Abia Warriors players have been axed from the team.

Enyimba pair Femi Thomas and Chima Akas will not feature against Egypt after they left the training camp to rejoin the Aba side ahead of their CAF Champions League tie in Burundi.

The retained players include Ikechukwu Ezenwa(Sunshine Stars), Kalu Orji(Rangers), Chibuzor Okonkwo(Ifeanyi Ubah FC), Etim Matthew(Rangers), Ifeanyi Matthew(Kano Pillars) and Africa U23 Cup of Nations revelation Etebo Oghenekaro.

The professional players based overseas are expected to be in Kaduna latest Tuesday, March 22.
