Monaco Defender Elderson Echiejile Finally Hits Super Eagles Camp In Kaduna
Published: March 23, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile has finally arrived the African Continental Hotel camp of the Super Eagles for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt in Kaduna.
The wing-back was absent when the national team held their first training session at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Echiejile was involved in a Ligue 1 clash for the Principality side on Sunday night, March 20, which delayed his arrival in camp.
If the 28-year-old is fielded against the North Africans, it would be his first appearance in the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifying series, as he was not in action in games against Chad and Tanzania.
Echiejile will compete with Olhanense’s Stanley Amuzie for a starting shirt against the Egyptians.
