Arsenal Rising Star Iwobi On The Same Wavelength As NFF, Ready For Nigeria Debut
Published: March 23, 2016
Arsenal starlet Alex Iwobi has played down concerns over his fitness for the forthcoming African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt despite not taking part in full training on Tuesday evening in Kaduna.
The Nigeria Football Federation has pronounced that the former England youth-teamer is in line to make his competitive debut against the North Africans and Iwobi is on the same wavelength as the powers that be, having declared himself fit for the games.
“Had the maddest food poisoning but I am good now & feeling ready for the Egyptian match âð½ï¸,” Iwobi posted on Twitter.
The Arsenal number 45 will no longer be able to switch his international football nationality back to England if he makes his competitive debut against the Egyptians.
Iwobi represented the Under 16, Under 17 and Under 18 teams of England in non-competitive fixtures before he was approached by the Nigeria Football Federation.
