Published: March 26, 2016
Kingsley Ehizibue failed to debut for the Netherlands U21 team in their 1-0 win over Norway in an international friendly in La Manga on Friday.
The exciting right-back was called up by the Dutch Federation for the friendlies against the Scandinavians and Serbia on March 28 after a string of fine performances for PEC Zwolle.
Ehizibue was named among the substitutes versus Norway but was not given a run out and will now target Monday’s fixture at the Pinatar Arena in San Pedro de Pinatar to make his maiden appearance for Holland.
The 20-year-old was born in Munich to a Nigerian father, meaning he can pledge his international future to the Super Eagles and Germany as well.
So far this season, the wing-back has played 21 times for PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie, scoring 3 goals (2 assists) .
