Egypt Coach : We Do Not Care Whether Chad Have Withdrawn; We Will Attack Nigeria
Published: March 27, 2016
Egypt national team coach Hector Cuper is not bothered about the withdrawal of Chad from the African Cup of Nations qualifiers, and has targeted victory against Nigeria on Tuesday in their penultimate Group G fixture.
The permutation is straightforward, with the Pharaohs guaranteed qualification for the tournament in Gabon with a game to spare if they beat Nigeria in Alexandria.
“We do not care whether or not Chad have withdrawn, we focus only on achieving victory against Nigeria, this is the most important, ” Cuper was quoted as saying by filgoal.com.
“We will not care about a game of numbers and calculations. More importantly, win over Nigeria.
“We will try to play better and launch dangerous attacks and more.”
In Kaduna on Friday, the North Africans trailed 1-0 until the first minute of second-half stoppage time when Roma winger Mohamed Salah netted the equalizer.
