West Ham Dismiss Reports Emenike Will Be Bought For 11 Million Euros
Published: March 28, 2016
West Ham coach Slaven Bilic has dismissed reports that claimed that the Hammers will acquire Emmanuel Emenike outright for a fee of eleven million euros if he makes ten appearances for the club at the end of his loan spell.
The former Nigeria international arrived West Ham on loan from Fenerbahçe S.K in the January transfer window but talks of a permanent switch to the Londoners will only be decided at the end of the 2015-2016 season.
“Such a thing is absolutely not the case. It is absurd we would never have agreed to such a clause and that the club have no obligation to sign him, ” Bilic told Fanatik.
“We will hold talks with Emenike and Fenerbahce at the end of the season but it is too early to say if he will stay or not it also depends on the money being asked.”
“Positive or negative, for us it will not be a cause for worry. ”
Emenike has eight appearances under his belt across all competitions for West Ham and netted a brace in the FA Cup against Blackburn Rovers.
