Super Eagles Fly To Egypt For Battle Of Alexandria, To Train At Match Venue
Published: March 28, 2016
The Super Eagles and officials have flown to Alexandria for the return leg of the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt on Tuesday night.
The players are aware that they need maximum points from the match day four fixture or they could be eliminated from the competition in Gabon, due to the withdrawal of Chad on Sunday.
Apparently there are no injury worries in the squad except Wolves netminder Carl Ikeme who has pulled out of the team as a result of illness, and they head to Alexandria in high spirits.
Nigeria will have their only training session on Egyptian soil on Monday evening at the Borg El Arab Stadium, venue of the contest between the two African powerhouses.
