Joel Obi Picks Up Injury During Pre-match Warm-Up
Published: April 24, 2016
Joel Obi sustained an injury during the pre-match warm-up before the start of Sunday’s Serie A clash between Torino and Sassuolo at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
The Nigeria international had to be replaced by Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah in the starting line-up of The Maroons.
The status of the former Inter Milan starlet is not yet known until tests are carried out this week.
If not for the late injury picked up, Joel Obi would have made his fifth consecutive start for Torino in the top-flight after injuries limited his appearances for most part of this season.
The 24-year-old joined Torino from Inter Milan in July 2015.
