Kelechi Iheanacho is one of the players tipped to win Manchester City’s 2015-2016 Etihad Player of the Season Award.
Though no specific player has been shortlisted for the prestigious accolade, with the official website of the Citizens informing supporters to vote for any of the 22 squad players, some candidates have been recognized courtesy of their fine form this season.
The Nigeria international was mentioned as a strong candidate alongside Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne,Bacary Sagna,Gael Clichy, Jesus Navas,Joe Hart,Fernando and Fernandinho.
Iheanacho, 19, has been directly involved in 18 goals (13 goals and 5 assists) in his debut season as a professional and has been prolific given that he has made several appearances off the bench.
Only Argentina star Sergio Aguero has scored more goals than the Taye Academy product in the Premier League this season in the Man City squad.
