Nathan Oduwa Hoping To Shine For Nigeria At Olympic Games; Refuses To Sign New Spurs Deal
Published: May 18, 2016
Nigeria U23 international Nathan Oduwa is refusing to append his signature to a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur, Sky Sports is reporting.
The winger has been offered fresh terms that will keep him at Spurs until the summer of 2017, but has kept the club waiting because he hopes to get a better offer elsewhere should he impress for the Dream Team VI at the 2016 Olympic Games.
Nathan Oduwa debuted for the Nigeria U23s against Brazil on March 24 when he replaced Anderlecht loanee Imoh Ezekiel in the closing minutes of the encounter.
A number of clubs in Spain are reportedly monitoring the situation of the 20-year-old and could swoop for him this summer.
Born in Bloomsbury, London, he represented the U17, U18 and U20 national teams of England before pledging his international future to Nigeria.
