Innocent Emeghara&rsquo;s guaranteed compensation of $1.3 million for the 2016 season has made him the highest paid Nigerian player in Major League Soccer, ahead of Kennedy Igboananike (Chicago Fire) and Maurice Edu (<span class="st">Philadelphia Union).<br /><br /></span>The Major League Soccer Players Union has published on its official webpage the basic salaries and guaranteed compensation of all the players in the American top division.<br /><br />Former Swedish-based striker Igboananike is compensated $901,666.67 every year while United States international Edu ranks third among Nigerian stars, with an annual salary of $793,750.00.<br /><br />Super Eagles hopeful and Portland Timbers Designated Player Fanendo Adi will make $712,500.00 this year, and is fourth out of the 13 players of Nigerian descent. <br /><br />Houston Dynamo pair Anibaba Jalil and Ibeagha Sebastien are the least paid Nigerian players.
