Mainz Defender Balogun Happy To Be Back In Nigeria Squad
Published: May 26, 2016Mainz 05 stopper Leon Balogun is delighted to be in the Super Eagles fold ahead of their international friendly against Mali in France on Friday evening.
The West Berlin native had pulled out of the Nigeria squad for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt back in March after picking up a muscular injury days leading up to the clash .
“Had a very warm welcome at the camp. Feels good to be back â�½ï¸�ð��³ð��¬ @NGSuperEagles @ighalojude,” Balogun tweeted.
The 27-year-old was inactive for his Bundesliga club in the final three games of the season, though he made the bench against Hertha BSC.
Balogun debuted for the Super Eagles in a friendly against Mexico in March 2014.
