Promising Nigerian Defender Joshua Debayo Offered New Deal By Southampton

Southampton have offered a contract extension to the promising Nigerian teenager Joshua Debayo, writes the official webpage of the Premier League.
The 19-year-old was one of the players retained by the Saints when the Premier League published the list of retained players on Friday.
A product of the academy team of Chelsea, Adebayo joined Southampton from the Blues in 2013 before penning a professional contract the same year after displaying his wares for the U18s.
Described as a pacy and athletic defender, he was a left fullback before he was converted to a central defender .
Ex-Arsenal striker Olufela Olomola penned a two-year deal with the St Mary’s outfit in May.
