                    On Wednesday morning, the governing body of the Championship, English Football League, announced the fixtures for the 2016-2017 season. 
Sammy Ameobi will be hoping to make the Newcastle United squad when they face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Friday, August 5 in the opening game.
Wolves, who pay the wages of Super Eagles netminder Carl Ikeme, Dominic Iorfa and Bright Enobakhare, kickoff their campaign against Rotherham United at New York Stadium on Saturday, August 6.
If Viv Solmon-Otabor is not involved in international duty for the Nigeria U23s, he is in line to play for Birmingham City when they welcome Cardiff City to St. Andrews Stadium. Semi Ajayi and Tom Adeyemi are currently on the books of the Bluebirds.

The last game on match day one takes place at Hillsborough between Sheffield Wednesday and Gabby Agbonlahor’s Aston Villa.
