Academic Commitments May Prevent Ejaria From Traveling With Liverpool To USA, Klopp Reveals
Published: July 18, 2016
Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has hinted that new kid on the block Ovie Ejaria will not be in the traveling party to the United States because of academic commitments.
The central midfielder and a couple of outstanding youngsters at the Academy have been drafted into the first team to make up the numbers due to the unavailability of some first-teamers who played at this summer’s European Championship.
“It’s not about America. [Ovie] Ejaria, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben are still in school – OK, at the moment it’s holidays but they have a few other things to do, ” Klopp told liverpoolfc.com.
“That’s how life is, our lives were the same. We will be with them, help them, and we know about their qualities so it’s the best situation. ”
Ejaria is in the same dilemma as he was three years ago when he had to cut his training with the Golden Eaglets short because he had to return to London to resume school.
Liverpool will face Chelsea (July 28) and AC Milan (July 31) during their tour of the United States.
