Iheanacho Ready To Play Number Ten Role For Manchester City

Kelechi Iheanacho is ready to play the number ten role for Manchester City if he is asked by manager Pep Guardiola .
Now 19, the Taye Academy product first rose to prominence at the 2013 Fifa Under 17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, where he scored six goals and notched seven helpers wearing the iconic number ten jersey for the Golden Eaglets.
“In my country, that’s where I started playing. I was a No 10,” Iheanacho said to Sky Sports UK.
“For my club, I play more as a striker but I can play in both positions. I can play as a striker or I can play as a No 10. I can even play on the wing as well. I can play in any position.”
The Nigeria international made 19 appearances off the bench in the Premier League last term, and is expected to push for a starting spot in the new season, with Argentina star Sergio Aguero ahead of him in the pecking order of strikers.
“I don’t know yet. When we start the season, we’ll find out what the coach is going to bring to the team,” he admitted.
Kelechi Iheanacho averaged a goal every 94 minutes in the 2015-2016 Premier League.
