Ex-Chelsea Striker And Golden Eaglets Trainee Chike Kandi Joins New Club In England
Published: August 05, 2016
Through official channels, Vanarama National league club Woking have announced the signing of Nigerian striker Chike Kandi on undisclosed terms.
The 20-year-old started off his career with the youth team of Birmingham City, then joined the academy team of Chelsea before he was released in the summer of 2014.
After training with West Brom, Brighton & Hove Albion snatched Kandi from under the noses of the Premier League side by offering him a two-year development contract.
Due to his lack of first team opportunities at the Seagulls, he was loaned out to Ryman League Premier Division Bognor Regis Town last season.
Born in Hammersmith, London, Chike is eligible to represent the national teams of England, Wales and Nigeria, and trained with the Golden Eaglets in 2012.
The attacker has caps for the U19 team of Wales.
