Samson Siasia : We Deserve Not To Play Brazil In The Final
Published: August 18, 2016
Dream Team VI coach Samson Siasia was disappointed after his side lost 2-0 to Germany at the Olympic Games on Wednesday and acknowledged that the Europeans were superior.
The Nigerians lost by the same scoreline when they first played at the Arena Corinthians, against Colombia, but the loss to Germany meant they will no longer contest the gold medal match.
“We are very disappointed . We were not good today . We deserve not go to the final playing that way, ” Siasia said in his post match comments.
“But I really want to thank the support of the Brazilian fans , it was fun . We had chances to score the goal , but Germany was superior in the match.”
