Dad Predicts Man City Talent Iheanacho Will Score More Than 14 Goals This Season
Published: August 20, 2016
Kelechi Iheanacho’s father, James Iheanacho, has expressed happiness over the attacker’s extension of his contract with Manchester City, and has tipped the Nigeria international to take Europe by storm in the new season.
After breaking into the first-team of City last term, Iheanacho was due for a new contract but could not put pen to paper on the agreement because of a disagreement over his bonafide representative.
“I am very happy Kelechi has signed a new contract, he called me immediately to tell me. God has done it for us, ” said James Iheanacho to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“He will perform wonders this season. He scored 14 goals last season and will score more this season.
“He is very happy, the whole family is happy. He will surprise the whole of Europe. I see him remaining at Manchester City until the end of his contract. ”
The 19-year-old Iheanacho now has contractual obligations with the Citizens until at least the end of the 2020-2021 season.
