Iheanacho Makes Impact Off The Bench As Man City Pick Up 4-1 Win At Stoke City
Published: August 20, 2016
Kelechi Iheanacho, 19, made an impact off the bench as Manchester City won their second game in a row in the Premier League, with a 4-1 thrashing of Stoke City at Bet365 Stadium.
Argentina star, Sergio Aguero’s brace, gave City a two-goal advantage heading into the interval before Bojan pulled a goal back for the homers three minutes out of intermission.
With the Potters threatening a comeback, manager Pep Guardiola summoned Iheanacho for his warmup around the 80th minute, then he entered into the fray three minutes later.
The Citizens were sure of six points from six in the 86th minute when the Nigerian did extremely well, kept his composure before setting up Nolito for his first goal in the Premier League.
The Spaniard added more gloss to the scoreline in injury time, with Iheanacho involved in the build-up.
Kelechi Iheanacho bagged a brace in City’s 4-0 victory over Stoke City in April, and was unlucky not to add to his goal tally despite his cameo appearance.
