Prolific Striker Ugbo Scores, Tomori Stars In Chelsea Rout Of Liverpool

Chelsea U23s picked up their first three points of the new season with a resounding 4-1 win against Liverpool in the Premier League 2 on Monday night. <br /><br />The Blues manager Adi Viveash lined up his team in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Fikayo Tomori one of the three central defenders and England youth international Ike Ugbo leading their frontline.<br /><br />Chelsea pressurized the Reds and were finally rewarded with a goal in the 61st minute, thanks to Quintero, before the visitors leveled two minutes later through Wilson.<br /><br />Goals from Mount and Sterling gave the home team a two-goal lead and Ugbo added more gloss to the scoreline in the second minute of injury time when he fired in Wakefield&rsquo;s inviting cross.<br /><br />Liverpool&rsquo;s Nigerian midfielder Ovie Ejaria recently resumed training after picking up an injury during the first team&rsquo;s tour of the United States, but did not make the U23s squad for today&rsquo;s game held at Electrical Services Stadium.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : thefa.com<br />
