Official : Free Agent Anichebe Links Up With Nigerian Superkid Maja At Sunderland

With a statement published on their official website, English Premier League club Sunderland have announced the signing of free agent Victor Anichebe.
Though the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by the Black Cats, the Nigeria international will remain at the Stadium of Light until at least June 30, 2017, having put pen to paper on a one-season deal.
The 28-year-old Anichebe had been on the radar of Belgian and Turkish clubs in the summer transfer window but chose to continue his career in England, where he has played nonstop for thirteen years.
He was on the lookout for a new club after severing ties with West Brom at the end of last season.
Victor Anichebe joins the highly-rated Nigerian teenage striker Joshua Maja at Sunderland.
