Portland Timbers striker Fanendo Adi has forged a great understanding upfront with Diego Valeri this term.
The Timbers have scored 42 goals in Major League Soccer in the regular season, with the Nigerian and Argentine accounting for 24 of those strikes.
Whilst Fanendo Adi has found the back of the net 13 times, Valeri has bagged 11 goals from 24 starts.
Statistically, the former Super Eagles invitee is the best African goalscorer in the American topflight ahead of ex-Chelsea star Didier Drogba, who has bagged nine goals for Montreal Impact .
Adi and Valeri are the second best scoring duo in the MLS, behind New York City pair David Villa and Frank Lampard who have registered 28 goals combined.
