At Old Trafford, Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first goal of the season and bagged an assist in Manchester City’s 2-1 win over Manchester United. He subbed out in the 53rd minute. Defender Tosin Adarabioyo did not make City’s squad.
Nigeria international Alex Iwobi hopped off the bench in the 75th minute as Arsenal beat Southampton 2-1 at the Emirates.
It was his first appearance for the Gunners since the opening-day loss to Liverpool. Teammate Chuba Akpom was not in the 18-man squad.
Still in London, Watford came from two goals down to beat West Ham 4-2. Super Eagles star Odion Ighalo gave the Hornets hope when he pulled a goal back in the 41st minute with the help of a deflection, before notching an assist in the 63rd minute.
