Premier League Wrap : Iheanacho, Dele Hit Target, Lady Luck Smiles On Ighalo; Iwobi Returns; Okaka Debuts; Success, Ibe Feature Catch up on the performances of players of Nigerian descent in the English Premier League on match day four.

At Old Trafford, Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first goal of the season and bagged an assist in Manchester City’s 2-1 win over Manchester United. He subbed out in the 53rd minute. Defender Tosin Adarabioyo did not make City’s squad.

Nigeria international Alex Iwobi hopped off the bench in the 75th minute as Arsenal beat Southampton 2-1 at the Emirates.

It was his first appearance for the Gunners since the opening-day loss to Liverpool. Teammate Chuba Akpom was not in the 18-man squad.

Still in London, Watford came from two goals down to beat West Ham 4-2. Super Eagles star Odion Ighalo gave the Hornets hope when he pulled a goal back in the 41st minute with the help of a deflection, before notching an assist in the 63rd minute.

The number 24 was replaced by ex-Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles star Isaac Success in the 69th minute.

Stefano Okaka was handed his Watford debut with twelve minutes remaining. Fellow Italy international Angelo Ogbonna was on the bench for the home team for the entirety of the contest at London Stadium.

Hull City continued their impressive start to the season after they were forced to a 1-1 draw by Burnley. Moses Odubajo still has four months before he recovers from a knee injury and was not selected by the Tigers coach.

At Bet365 Stadium, Dele Alli struck in the 59th minute of Tottenham Hotspurs
’ 4-0 rout of Stoke City. Whilst the number 20 put in a 90-minute shift, England U20 international Josh Onomah was not involved for the London team.

Former Liverpool talent Jordon Ibe started and played 63 minutes of Bournemouth
’s 1-0 win against West Brom. New signing Hal Robson-Kanu did not travel with the squad to the Vitality Stadium.

In the late kick off, Super Eagles assistant skipper Ahmed Musa starts on the bench for champions Leicester City at Liverpool.  Sheyi Ojo is not in the Reds squad.
