Chelsea Loanee Omeruo Enhancing His Reputation As A No-Nonsense Defender
Published: September 17, 2016
Kenneth Omeruo is not disappointing at the beginning of his loan spell with Turkish Super Lig side Alanyaspor.
For the second game in a row, the Nigeria international assisted goalkeeper Yılmaz to post a shutout as Alanyaspor beat Eddy Onazi’s Trabzonspor 3-0 at Alanya Oba Stadium on Saturday evening.
Omeruo made the offensive players in the ranks of Trabzonspor ineffective and they had to resort to long range efforts in their attempts to beat the defense and goalkeeper.
On his debut last weekend versus GençlerbirliÄi, the Chelsea loanee subdued one of the most feared strikers in the league, Romania international Bogdan Stancu, who had to be replaced with 15 minutes left.
The Alanyaspor number 44 has gone the distance in his first two games this term and has not received a single caution.
