New Paul Pogba, Ejaria Reacts After Debuting For Liverpool
Published: September 20, 2016
Ovie Ejaria was delighted to make his competitive debut for Liverpool in their 3-0 victory over Derby County in the League Cup on Tuesday night, two years after his arrival at Anfield from Arsenal.
Speculations were rife at home and abroad that the central midfielder was in line to make his first appearance for the Reds when he was not selected for the U23 team in their clash with Spurs in the Premier League 2 on Monday.
“good win & competitive debut..â½ï¸ #Godisthereason, ” tweeted Ovie Ejaria after the game at iPro Stadium.
Ejaria’s debut tonight was his reward for impressing Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp during pre-season training in England and the United States.
Born in London 18 years ago, he follows in the footsteps of Sheyi Ojo, Tiago Ilori and Jordon Ibe ( now at Bournemouth) , who have all played competitively for the first team of Liverpool in recent seasons.
