Published: September 27, 2016
Alex Iwobi is in the running for Arsenal’s Vitality Player of the Month award for September on the back of his imperious display for the club in the period under review.
The Nigeria international has to see off competition from the likes of Alexis, Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott, Francis Coquelin and Laurent Koscielny to win the accolade.
Iwobi, 20, has featured in four matches for the Gunners so far in September, including the Champions League tie with PSG, and was only rested for the trip to Nottingham Forest in the League Cup.
The Hale End Academy product has yet to open his account this term but has provided four assists in all competitions.
