Arsenal celebrated a fifth consecutive Premier League victory, with a 1-0 win over hard fighting Burnley, which was achieved in the most dramatic of circumstances.
The Gunners number 17 Alex Iwobi put in a 71-minute shift in attack prior to his substitution. England U21 international Chuba Akpom was not on parade for the London team.
Over to White Hart Lane, Tottenham Hotspur ended Manchester City’s unbeaten run with a 2-0 victory. Dele Alli put Spurs 2-0 up in the 37th minute, sweeping the ball past Bravo into the bottom left after he was set up by Heung-Min Son.
Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench in the 65th minute, his first appearance for City in three games across all competitions. Tosin Adarabioyo did not make the 18-man squad.
Elsewhere, Ahmed Musa was not involved as Leicester City were held to a goalless draw by Southampton at the King Power Stadium. The Saints number 32 Olufela Olomola watched proceedings from the bench.
