Fulham Midfielder Edun Comes Off Bench As England Beat Bulgaria In Stoppage Time

Fulham midfielder Adetayo Edun came off the bench to help England U19s
register a 2-1 win over Bulgaria in an international friendly staged at
Spotland, Rochdale FC on Monday.
Keith Downing’s side was leading the Balkan Nation 1-0, thanks to Edward’s ninth minute goal, when Edun was introduced on the hour mark.
But the visitors leveled in the 70th minute through Petar Genche, who slotted the ball in the bottom right hand corner, before Sterling grabbed the match winner with almost the last kick of the game in the third minute of stoppage time.
Edun, 18, started and played 88 minutes of the Young Lions’ 3-1 win over Croatia in Zagreb on Friday afternoon.
The London-born player amassed ten caps for England U17s and featured for the U18s prior to his promotion to the U19 squad.
