Moses On Target, Aina Introduced To The Premier League As Chelsea Record Dominant Win Vs Leicester
Published: October 15, 2016
Super Eagles winger Victor Moses notched his second Premier League goal of the season as Chelsea recorded a dominant 3-0 win over defending champions Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues cruised in the first half and led 2-0 going into the interval courtesy of goals from Diego Costa and Eden Hazard.
But the Foxes showed purpose and intent in the early stages of the second half, with Ahmed Musa, who was making his first start in the English top-flight since the opening day, having two chances to pull a goal back.
From a free kick, the number seven fired over the bar from an awkward position in the 51st minute, before failing to beat the goalkeeper in the near post a minute later.
On 57 minutes, Schmeichel denied Moses one-on-one after a Kanté breakaway down the left, but the winger made amends with ten minutes remaining, scoring after an audacious pass from Chalobah knocked the ball into his path.
England youth international Ola Aina was introduced to the Premier League when he replaced Victor Moses in the 82nd minute, while Musa subbed out in the 67th minute.
