Iwobi Impresses As Alexis Joins Arsenal 50-Goal Club In Win Vs Sunderland

Arsenal picked up their seventh win of the Premier League season after thrashing Sunderland 4-1 at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon. <br /><br />On his 21st appearance in the English top-flight, Nigeria international Alex Iwobi made way for Frenchman <span class="hidden-xxs" data-type="full">Olivier</span> Giroud in the 69th minute. <br /><br />The visitors took the lead in the 19th minute when Alexis Sanchez scored with a sensational header via a cross from <span class="off" data-type="out"><span class="hidden-xxs" data-type="full">Alex</span> Oxlade-Chamberlain, with the Chile star capping off a move involving all the Gunners outfield players minus Iwobi.<br /><br />On 27 minutes, the ball fell to Iwobi and he carved out a shot which went over the bar.<br /><br />Parity was restored in the 65th minute when </span><span class="hidden-xxs" data-type="full">Jermain</span> Defoe did not have problems converting a spot kick after Cech fouled Watmore .<br /><br />A lovely finish from Giroud with his first touch of the ball six minutes later restored Arsenal&rsquo;s lead before he grabbed his brace with fourteen minutes remaining. <br /><br />Alexis scored his 50th goal in an Arsenal shirt after 78 minutes to add more gloss to the scoreline. <br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br />Photo Credit : arsenal.com<br />
