NFF Do Not Want A Repeat Of Zambia Experience, Send Flight Tickets To Invited Players For Algeria WCQ
Published: November 03, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Nigeria Football Federation have already sent flight tickets to the foreign-based professionals called up for the World Cup qualifier against Algeria on November 12.
For the first game with Zambia last month, the NFF had instructed the players to foot the bill for their traveling expenses and they will be reimbursed when they get to Nigeria, and that debt was eventually paid in full, true to the word of the NFF.
It would be recalled that a couple of invited foreign-based professionals had threatened to boycott the qualifier in Ndola as they were not sure whether or not they would be reimbursed their flight tickets by the Federation.
Premier League duo Victor Moses (Chelsea) and Isaac Success (Watford) eventually did not travel to Nigeria, citing injury, but featured for their respective teams immediately after the international break.
